  • Do I need to be a New-York Historical member to purchase a program?
    Not at all! All programs listed on the On-Demand page are available for purchase by the general public. Members receive a discounted rate on their video purchases. To purchase video access, you will need to log into your existing New-York Historical Society online account, if you have one, or create a new one.
  • I’m a New-York Historical Society Member. Is my login the same as it is on nyhistory.org?
    Yes. Members may log in using the email and password that they already would use to buy tickets on our website.
  • I am not a New-York Historical Society Member, but I have purchased tickets to programs on New-York Historical’s website in the past. Is my login the same as it is on nyhistory.org?
    Yes. You may log in using the email and password that you already would use to buy tickets on our website. To become a Member, visit us at nyhistory.org/support/membership.
  • How do I reset my password?
    If you cannot remember your password, please click here to create a new password. Please be sure to check your spam folder and note that it can take up to one full business day for the password to be updated on our site.
  • How do I create an account to purchase and view programs?
    If you do not have an existing login, please create one by visiting programs.nyhistory.org/register. Please remember to check your spam folder and note that it can take up to one full business day for the password to be updated on our site.
  • Do Member discounts apply to on-demand programs?
    Yes. You will see a Member price listed for each program. Your Member discount will be automatically applied at checkout.
  • Will I receive a receipt or confirmation email for the programs I’ve purchased?
    Yes. You will receive a confirmation email at the email address you used for your login. Please be sure to check your spam folder if you do not see a confirmation email.

  • Can I purchase viewing access to on-demand programs over the phone?
    At this time, purchasing access to on-demand programs is available online only.
  • What is your refund and exchange policy?
    No refunds or exchanges are permitted.
  • Why is my content not loading or freezing?

    Please ensure you have a strong connection to ensure the media loads and plays properly.
